About – Born in 1973, Carol Healy is a visual artist whose work is concerned with the experience of connecting with and understanding the natural world.  Healy works primarily in drawing and installation.   Working outdoors is central to her practice, as well as being in her studio.   There is a continual organic thread of research across the sciences, which informs her art works.  More recently, Healy’s’ research is focused on the embodied act of drawing, as a way of recording experience and documenting the natural world as a lived experience.  Part of Healy’s’ art practice is facilitating events that connect the community, bringing art into the public sphere. 
Carol Healy graduated from Crawford College of Art & design. She lives and works in Cork city.
